The new system enables faster delivery of text messages.
Telecoms operator Tele2 has selected Sweden-based Symsoft's SMS delivery system Nobill SMSC to offer fast and reliable text messaging to its customers throughout its European mobile networks.
The Nobill SMSC will be responsible for delivering SMS text messages sent by Tele2 subscribers to their recipients, allowing the operator to capitalize on the growing demand for this service, added Symsoft.
Apart from increasing delivery capacity, the system is also expected to provide Tele2 with support for multi-country operation, to improve the quality of service and increase the efficiency of operations.
The order is also first delivery of a Nobill SMSC based on the new Nobill 4 platform, which delivers more messages per second on a given hardware platform, while increasing the flexibility to adapt services to add new functionality, according to Symsoft.
Peter Jansson, sales director of Symsoft, said: We are very proud to be able to deliver our next generation SMSC to Tele2 and this contract reaffirms Symsoft's role as a preferred supplier and strategic partner for Tele2's operations in Europe.
